Reading this blog

This site does not run reader accounts or comments. First-week checkboxes only change the current page and are not sent to a database. The hosting service may process technical request information to deliver and protect the site.

Dog-care reminders

The free reminder tool stores the reminders you create in this browser’s local storage. Woof & Whiskers does not receive your dog’s name, reminder details or notes. When you choose “Add to my calendar,” your browser creates a calendar file for you to open in a compatible calendar app.

Removing a reminder from the website removes the browser copy but does not remove a calendar event you already imported. Delete that event inside your calendar. Clearing browser data, changing browsers or changing devices may remove the website copy. Do not enter diagnoses, dosage information or other sensitive details, and do not rely on the tool as your only reminder for time-critical medication.

Optional website analytics

If you select “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics measures visits, article engagement, downloads and link activity, and the Pinterest Tag measures campaign activity. These services may use cookies and technical information such as device type, referring page and approximate location. We do not send your name or email through these tags.

The tags are not loaded when you select “No thanks.” Your choice is saved in this browser where browser storage is available. Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page to change it. If you withdraw permission after accepting, the page reloads to unload the tags and removes accessible measurement cookies for this website. This does not erase information already held by Google or Pinterest, or cookies on other websites.

Read Google’s privacy policy and Pinterest’s privacy policy for their processing and choices.

Downloads and purchases

Our free checklist and paid planner links lead to Beacons. Beacons handles forms, file delivery and checkout. Product links may lead to Amazon or another retailer. These services have their own privacy policies and may use cookies or referral tracking.

Read the destination’s information before submitting your details. Requesting a download does not mean you have separately agreed to every type of marketing. Our website measures clicks to these services; a click is not confirmation of a signup or sale.

Affiliate links

Affiliate links may allow a retailer or network to associate a purchase with our referral. We do not receive payment-card information through these links. Paid links are identified near recommendations and in the affiliate disclosure.
