Carrot & Banana Dog Biscuits
15–18 minutes baking · Oven: 350°F (about 175°C)
Source estimate: about 16 biscuits. Cutter size and dough thickness change the yield.
Ingredients
- 2 carrots
- 1 ripe banana, peeled
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
- 1½ cups oat flour
- 1 cup coconut flour
Step by step
Heat the oven to 350°F and line a baking tray. Shred the carrots.
Pulse carrot and banana in a food processor. Add the egg and melted coconut oil; process until smooth.
Add both flours and process into dough. Roll on a lightly floured surface to ¼–⅓ inch thick.
Cut shapes, rerolling scraps as needed. Transfer to the tray and bake for 15–18 minutes. Cool completely on a rack.
Ingredient checks
- Keep both flours as specified: coconut flour absorbs moisture differently from other flours.
- Contains egg, coconut and oats.
Serving & keeping
Offer a small piece first, supervise, and choose a size and texture your dog can manage. WSAVA recommends keeping all treats together to no more than 10% of daily calories. We have not calculated calories per biscuit, so there is no universal number to feed.
